Lucknow: The country's state-owned oil companies have not reduced or increased the prices of oil once again on January 5, 2022. It is getting information that the central government is working on a new scheme to reduce the rising prices of petrol, diesel.

For the past several months, petrol rates are still running above Rs 100 in many states of the country. The price of oil in the country is still affecting the pockets of the common man.

Let us tell you that the last and major cut in the prices of petroleum products was in the month of November last year. Then, the central government had controlled prices by announcing unaccounted reduction in the prices of petroleum products. Then the state governments also reduced their VAT and reduced the tax rates further. After this reduction in prices, the price of petrol per liter in the national capital Delhi, which was above Rs 100 per liter, came down to Rs 95.41. Similarly, petrol is being sold at the rate of Rs 109.98 in the country's commercial capital Mumbai. These prices still remain the same.

Government oil companies have once again not increased or decreased the rates of petrol and diesel on Wednesday, January 05, 2022. Today on Wednesday, Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) has released its new rate list. Some of the new rates are as follows.

Petrol is being sold at Rs 95.41 and diesel at Rs 86.67 per liter in the national capital of the country, Delhi.

Petrol is being sold at Rs 109.98 and diesel at Rs 94.14 per liter in Mumbai.

In Kolkata, petrol is being sold at Rs 104.67 and diesel at Rs 89.79 per liter.

In Chennai, petrol is being sold at Rs 101.41 and diesel at Rs 91.52 per liter.

Petrol is being sold at the rate of Rs 95.73 per liter and diesel at Rs 87.14 per liter in NCR region Noida.

In Shimla, petrol is being sold at Rs 96.79 and diesel at Rs 80.35 per liter.

In Lucknow, petrol is being sold at Rs 95.28 and diesel at Rs 86.85 per liter.

Petrol is selling at Rs 101.81 and diesel at Rs 91.61 per liter in Bhubaneswar.

Petrol is being sold at Rs 98.84 and diesel at Rs 91.56 per liter in Ranchi.

In Bengaluru, petrol is being sold at Rs 100.58 and diesel at Rs 85.01 per liter.
