New Delhi: Petrol and diesel prices continue to rise. Petrol and diesel prices continued to rise for the fifth consecutive day on 24 October i.e. on Sunday. On Sunday, the prices of petrol and diesel were increased by 35 paise by the oil companies.

Petrol Price Today:

After this, the price of petrol in the capital Delhi increased to Rs 107.59 per liter and diesel to Rs 96.32 per liter. Apart from Delhi, petrol is being sold in Mumbai today at Rs 113.46 per liter and diesel at Rs 104.38 per liter. Whereas in Kolkata, you will have to spend Rs 108.11 for a liter of petrol and Rs 99.43 for diesel. In Chennai, the price of petrol has gone up to Rs 104.52 per liter and that of diesel to Rs 100.59 per liter.

Hike in Fuel rates:

Petrol prices have been hiked 19 times by oil companies since September 28, when the three-week hiatus in rate revision ended. Overall, petrol prices have increased by Rs 5.7 per litre.

At the same time, since September 24, the price of diesel has been increased 22 times. During this, the price of diesel has increased by Rs 7 per liter. Earlier, between May 4 and July 17, petrol prices had seen an increase of up to Rs 11.44 per liter. During this period, the price of diesel was increased by Rs 9.14 per litre.

Looking at the current situation, it can be said that, at present, the rising prices of petrol and diesel in the country are not going to come down immediately. On the issue of supply and demand of oil, the central government is in talks with many oil exporting countries but there is no possibility of immediate relief in prices.
