Petrol Diesel Price (PC: Social Media)
New Delhi: The agitation of farmers against agricultural laws continues in Punjab and Haryana. Rail movement has been disrupted due to this movement, due to which the crisis of petrol diesel has increased in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. On Wednesday evening, HP, BPC and Indian Oil Depot in Jammu closed the supplies to the pump dealers.
HP, BPC closed the supplies to the pump dealers:
According to the information received, the stock level of the three depots has reached the minimum level of MSL due to disrupted rail service. In this, the oil reserve is kept for military and emergency situation only. Petrol pumps are now sourcing oil from Jalandhar and Bathinda via tankers. It is taking at least three days to supply. There is still stock left on many petrol pumps of the city, due to which there can be an outcry for oil in the state.
Till Wednesday evening, oil was supplied to some petrol pumps selling more than ten thousand liters on behalf of the three depots located at the railway station, but after that the supply was stopped. These depots supply liquids like petrol, oil, kerosene etc.
Petrol pump operators have been asked to take oil supplies from other states. The three depots supply 400–450 tankers to Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh every day. Due to non-availability of goods trains in Jammu, there has been a huge reduction in the supply of oil. Especially for Kashmir and Ladakh, there may be more crisis.
Due to the shortage of diesel-petrol, many petrol pumps in the city got queues of drivers. Emergency situation was vying to get more diesel-petrol. In view of the crowd, some petrol pumps stopped the supply.
