Lucknow: On Tuesday, both gold and silver prices saw a fall. Gold on Tuesday fell marginally by Rs 5 to Rs 47,153 per 10 grams in the national capital amid a weak global trend. In the previous trade, gold had closed at Rs 47,158 per 10 grams. Silver fell by Rs 287 to Rs 64,453 per kg from Rs 64,740 per kg in the previous trade.

In the international market, gold remained steady at USD 1,802 an ounce and silver at USD 24.30 an ounce.

On Tuesday, the spot gold prices on COMEX fell by 0.27 per cent to USD 1,802 an ounce, while the price of gold remained weak. According to Tapan Patel, HDFC Securities Senior Analyst (Commodities), gold prices remained under pressure on Tuesday due to a stronger dollar and rise in US bond yields.


On the Multi Commodity Exchange, at 04:39 pm, the price of gold for delivery in December, 2021 was trading down by Rs 131, or 0.27 percent, at Rs 48069 per 10 grams.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, at 04:40 pm, the price of silver for delivery in December 2021 was down by Rs 405, or 0.61 percent, to trade at Rs 65,734 per kg.

The Sensex rose 383 points on Tuesday amid buying in shares of Reliance Industries, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Bajaj Finance. A positive trend in global markets also strengthened the sentiment here. The 30-share Sensex of BSE rose 383.21 points, or 0.63 per cent, to 61,350.26 points. Similarly, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange closed at 18,268.40 with a gain of 143 points or 0.79 per cent.
