Jio launches cheap tracking device

Telecom giant Jio has launched JioTag, the cheapest Bluetooth tracking device in India.

The device is priced at 2,199 on the company’s official website. Buyers can purchase it for Rs 749 during the launch offer. Jio Tag can be purchased from Jio.com as well as from Reliance Digital and Jio Mart.

This device competes with Apple’s AirTag and Samsung’s SmartTag. This device is launched with Jio community find feature support. JioTag works similar to Apple AirTag and Samsung SmartTag. The users can connect this to a smart phone via Bluetooth and it helps to track the item to which the tracked is connected.

It has a replaceable CR2032 battery, which will work for one year at least. This device has Bluetooth v5.1 which connects with the user’s smart phone. The device provides a tracking distance up to 20 meters indoors and up to 50 meters outdoors. The total weight of JioTag is 9.5 gram.

Jio community find feature is installed in this new Bluetooth tracker. When a user is unable to find connected device at last disconnected location then they can list JioTag in their smart phone with the Jio things application. Community find feature searches JioTag location and will report.
