CUET UG 2025: 340 universities have adopted CUET entrance exam, now students will get more options than before

The application process for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG 2025) is going on. This process will run till March 22, while the last date for depositing the fees has been fixed as March 23. This year 340 universities have adopted this entrance exam, due to which students will have more options than before to take admission in graduation courses.

UGC Chairman M. Jagdish Kumar informed that the pressure on the students will be reduced by conducting a national level examination through CUET. He told that if there are different entrance examinations for different universities, then students have to prepare for many examinations, which increases the mental and financial burden. However, this process has become simple and effective with the CUET system.

According to the UGC Chairman, the number of universities adopting CUET is increasing rapidly in the last few years. This year 340 universities have come under this system, while the total number of universities in India is around 1,180. Every year more institutions are accepting this entrance exam, making it more widespread.

CUET UG 2025 will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) between May 8 and June 1. The exam will be conducted in computer based (CBT) mode and will be conducted at examination centers across the country. Under this, the exam will be conducted in 13 languages ​​​​English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Odia, Bengali, Assamese, Punjabi and Urdu.

With the increase in the number of universities adopting CUET, students will get more options. Now they will be able to take admission in different universities of the country through a uniform admission process, making it easier to select on the basis of merit. This system will not only bring transparency but will also promote quality and competition in higher education. CUET UG 2025 can prove to be a significant opportunity for the students as it will give them better access to the subjects and universities of their choice.
