HC asks UP govt to file affidavit on appointment of teachers
Allahabad: The Allahabad High Court Tuesday asked the Uttar Pradesh government to file counter affidavit over the issue of filling up vacant post of assistant teachers in primary school.
The court has fixed July 11 as the next date of hearing.
The order was passed by a two judge bench comprising Justice Dilip Gupta and justice R N Kakkar on a PIL filed Mayank Tiwari and others.
In the petition it was alleged that there were 16891 primary schools in the state which are being run by single teacher.
It is further alleged that because of vacant posts of assist. Teachers children are being deprived from their fundamental right of compulsory education.
In the petition a further prayer for fill up all the posts of Assistant Teacher in basic schools in the state from amongst the eligible candidates having cleared TET Test.
