A major accident has occurred near the Naval Base in Malaysia. 10 people died in a naval helicopter crash during training. This accident occurred due to the collision of two helicopters near the Malaysian Navy. Naval exercises were going on near Lumut Naval Base in Malaysia.

The navy said in a statement that two helicopters collided in mid-air during a rehearsal for the Royal Malaysian Navy parade on Tuesday. Ten people died in this accident. The Navy said that 10 crew members were present in the helicopter at the time of the accident. The choppers collided at 9.32 am (0132 GMT) on Tuesday at the Lumut naval base in the western state of Perak.

"The 10 crew members died on the spot. They have been sent to Lumut Army Base Hospital for identification," the navy said. Reports said that the crew members died on the spot after the collision, which was captured on the video by the onlookers. The choppers caught fire after the collision. The bodies were charred and many were beyond recognition, the reports added.
