Chennai Super Kings team has achieved its fourth success of the season by performing brilliantly at the Wankhede Stadium. At the same time, Mumbai team has to face its fourth defeat of IPL 2024. Former captain Rohit Sharma tried his best to ensure victory for Mumbai, but he failed. Starting the innings, he faced a total of 63 balls. Soon after this, Ravindra Rachin (21) also started walking to the pavilion.

However, from here captain Ruturaj Gaikwad (69) and Shivam Dubey (66 not out) took charge and defeated the Mumbai bowlers. These two batsmen made a partnership of 90 runs for the third wicket, then in the last moments, former captain MS Dhoni (20 not out) hit 3 consecutive sixes and took Chennai's score to 206 runs.

Despite the tremendous beating at the Wankhede Stadium, Hardik was the first batsman to take the most wickets for Mumbai. He bowled a total of 3 overs for his team in this match. Meanwhile, he took 2 wickets while spending 43 runs at an economy of 14.30. Apart from them, Gerald Coetzee and Shreyas Gopal achieved 1-1 success respectively.

Young fast bowler Mathisha Pathirana, who played an important role in the victory of Chennai Super Kings, has been given the 'Player of the Match' award. The victims of Pathirana were Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Verma and Romario Shepherd.
