Pepsi Can

In a most bizarre and unbelievable tale, a man named Andy Currie in the United Kingdom consumed approximately 2,19,000 cans of Pepsi in the last 20 years and spent around $8500 per year on its purchase.

Currie's addiction for the soft drink was insane as he guzzled 30 cans of Pepsi a day for 20 years.

Andy developed his addiction of soft drinks in his 20s that continued till the age of 40.

Currie said, "I've always loved the taste of a cold Pepsi. Nothing could beat it and I just got hooked. I work nights, so I always liked the sugar rush to keep me going. I'd go through four or five two-litre bottles of Pepsi every day."

"Because I work at Tesco I could just buy it straight after work and take it home," he added.

Andy made his mind to overcome his addiction after his weight swelled to 266 pounds and he was at the verge of developing diabetes according to the doctors. He started keeping control on his diets and took his exercise routines more seriously. Currie lost 28 pounds but still his habit of drinking Pepsi continued.

Andy said that he contacted London-based therapist and hypnotist David Kilmurry, who identified Currie as having Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID). His first session did the magic and Andy Currie drank water for the first time in two decades.

Currie claimed, "I haven't touched them (Pepsi cans) in a month and don't plan to. I prefer water now. My wife Sarah says my skin looks better and I've got so much more energy."
