Under IPL 2024, the 24th match was played on Wednesday night between Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. By winning this thrilling match by three wickets, Gujarat Titans stopped the Vijay Rath of Rajasthan Royals, who were undefeated in the first four matches. Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson told after the match how his team lost. On RR's first defeat of the season, Samson said, I thought 196 was the winning score. Our bowling lineup should have done this because there was no dew.

Rashid Khan gave victory to Gujarat Titans by hitting Avesh Khan for a four on the last ball of the match. Sanju Samson said after the match that "I think the last ball of the match. It is very difficult to say this at this time. Because when a captain loses the match, the most difficult thing is to tell where he lost the match? Credit has to be given to Gujarat Titans for this. This is the beauty of this tournament. We have to learn and move forward."

Samson further said that when he was batting, he thought that a score around 180 would be worth fighting for and I thought that 196 runs was the winning score. Our bowling lineup should have done this because there was no dew. It was difficult to work hard in the beginning. 197 runs in Jaipur, no dew, we'll take that any day.

Talking about the match, Gujarat Titans won the toss and chose bowling. Batting first, Rajasthan Royals scored 196 runs on the score board thanks to half-centuries from captain Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag. Samson scored unbeaten 68 runs on 38 balls while Parag played a brilliant inning of 76 runs. Chasing the target of 197, Gujarat Titans won by scoring 199 runs at the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. Captain Shubhman Gill played a brilliant inning of 72 runs.
