Mumbai. After Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and Thailand, Malaysia has now also granted visa-free access to Indians. This is good news for travel enthusiasts, but it's essential to note that this free visa facility is available for a limited time.

What is a Visa?

A visa is an official document provided by a country's government to grant an individual permission to stay in that country for a specified period. Governments often charge a fee for visas, and the visa can be affixed as a sticker on the passport, stamped, or issued as an e-visa. It's important to clarify that visa-free does not mean there won't be any screening; travelers still need to fill out a form and provide necessary information upon reaching the destination country.

Now, Malaysia

From December 1, Indians can travel to Malaysia without a visa for up to 30 days.

In October, the Thai government announced that it would grant visa-free entry to Indian and Taiwanese tourists for a period of six months, from November 10, 2023, to May 10, 2024.
