Salman Khan to 'kick' the screens with his own television channel

Mumbai: The Bollywood sensation, Salman Khan is known for his Midas touch, whatever he touches turns gold. In his venture to mint more money, Salman is all set to launch a television channel in the near future.

The actor has already launched his production house and a film company and now he is even producing the second season of 'The Kapil Sharma Show'.

With dozens of projects in his hand, the ‘Veer’ actor is busy acquiring a lot of entertaining content like his acting for his upcoming television channel. He has also appointed a broker to carry out the deals.

Elaborating Salman’s ideas, sources revealed, “Salman is planning (to launch) a TV channel and hence he needs a lot of content. SKTV is the name of his production house that produces television shows including 'The Kapil Sharma Show'. His film company is called 'Salman Khan Films'. Now, he has also started the production of more television shows. And, it won’t be surprising if he moves The Kapil Sharma Show to his own channel once his licenses are in place.”

Apart from appearing on the big screen and managing production house, he is all set to expand his new brand ‘Being Children’ parallel to his ‘Being Human’. “There will be everything from pre-primary to day-care and other allied activities. There will be other things connected to children. It is in the planning stages at the moment but ‘Bhai’ is venturing into a lot of businesses now as he wants to invest his money not just in the movies and the entertainment world,” the source added.

On the acting front, Salman Khan has recently wrapped up the shooting of Ali Abbas Zafar’s ‘Bharat’ which is expected to hit the theatres on Eid this year. The film is an official adaptation of a Korean film ‘An Ode to My Father’. It also features Katrina Kaif, Jackie Shroff, Nora Fatehi, Disha Patani, and Sunil Grover in leading roles.
