JEE Mains Result: NTA released JEE-Mains result, 56 candidates got 100% score

This year the cut-off for General-EWS is 81.3, which is 75.6 last year and 63.1 in 2022. Whereas, in JEE (Main) January session, 23 candidates had achieved 100 NTA score.

National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the result of Joint Entrance Examination-Main (JEE Mains Result). 56 candidates scored full 100 marks in JEE-Main, the maximum of whom are from Telangana.

The qualifying percentile for JEE (Advanced) reached a five-year high across all categories. This year the minimum cut-off for general category is 93.2, which is 90.7 in 2023 and 88.4 in 2022. This year the cut-off for General-EWS is 81.3, which is 75.6 last year and 63.1 in 2022. Whereas, in JEE (Main) January session, 23 candidates had achieved 100 NTA score.

NTA said 39 candidates were barred from appearing for JEE-Main for three years for using unfair means during the examination.

This examination was conducted in Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. The first edition of the exam was conducted in January-February, while the second edition was conducted in April. On the basis of the results of JEE-Mains Paper 1 and Paper 2, candidates are shortlisted to appear for the JEE-Advanced examination, which is a one-stop examination to gain admission into the 23 premier Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).

Of the candidates who achieved a perfect NTA score of 100, 15 are from Telangana, 7 each from Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra and 6 from Delhi. JEE Main 2024 result can be downloaded directly from the official website jeemain.nta.ac.in.

The official further said that 39 candidates were barred from appearing for JEE-Main for three years for using unfair means during the examination. As per the pre-existing policy, the rank of the candidates is released considering the best of two NTA scores. More than 10 lakh candidates appeared for the second edition of the important examination.

In 2023, 2,51,673 JEE (Main) candidates were eligible to appear for JEE (Advanced). Registration for JEE (Advanced) will begin from April 27 and candidates will appear for approximately 17,385 undergraduate seats in the IITs.
