A painful road accident has occurred due to a collision between a Bolero and a pickup in Bemetara, Chhattisgarh. Nine people died in this accident and more than 20 people are said to be injured. The condition of many of them is critical. Most of the injured have been admitted to the district hospital for treatment. According to the information, Bolero collided with a pickup near Tiraiya village under Bemetra City Kotwali area.

The villagers had gone to the Tiraiya Janmotsav (Chhatthi) program from Patharra village. While returning back to the village from Tiraiya at 12:00 in the night, a pickup Bolero collided with a dusty Mazda vehicle parked on the road near National Highway 30 Kathiya. This collision was so severe that many people died on the spot. The injured were sent to Bemetara District Hospital and nearby Singer Community Health Centre. Out of which four seriously injured have been immediately referred to Raipur.

As soon as information about this accident was received, Bemetara Collector Ranbir Sharma and SP Ramakrishna Sahu reached the district hospital late in the night. Local MLA Deepesh Sahu also reached the hospital late at night to inquire about the well-being of the injured.
