29 naxalites killed in Chhattisgarh in encounter, Amit Shah says country will soon be free from naxalism

Union Home Minister Amit Shah once again reiterated that Naxalism will soon end in India. Shah wrote on social media after the major success of security forces against Naxalites in Kanker – Under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, we are determined to free Chhattisgarh and the entire country from the sting of Naxalism. Shah further wrote – On Tuesday, April 16, a large number of Naxalites were killed in the operation of security forces in Chhattisgarh. I congratulate all the security personnel who made this operation successful with their bravery. I wish for the speedy recovery of the brave policemen who have been injured.

On April 16, security forces killed 29 Naxalites in an encounter in Binaguda forest of Chhota Bethia area of Kanker district. Police have recovered the bodies of all 29 Naxalites. In this encounter, three soldiers including BSF Inspector Ramesh Chaudhary have been injured, they have been airlifted to Raipur. Two DRG soldiers are among the injured. Bastar IG Sundarraj P has confirmed this encounter. According to him, the force had received information about the presence of a large number of Naxalites in Maad area. There was also information about the presence of Naxal area commander Shankar Rao and two more major commanders Lalita and Raju. Based on the information, the force was sent towards the forest. IG Sundarraj P has described this action as the biggest anti-Naxal operation in Bastar so far.

CM said Naxalism has to be rooted out:

Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said – This is the beginning against Naxalites. Now Bastar has to be eradicated from Naxalism. Besides, revenge has to be taken for the brutal murder of innocents in Chhattisgarh. Sai said – This is a surgical strike on Naxalism.

Home Minister Vijay Sharma said – Under the guidance of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, whatever necessary action and resources are required to make Bastar Naxal free. He said that any problem can be solved only through dialogue, whatever needs to be done will be done to flow the Ganga of development in Bastar.
