After Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav have also decided to skip the alliance meeting called by Congress President Mallikarjan Kharge.

After the defeat in the assembly elections of five states, Congress has now started focusing on the Lok Sabha elections. Due to elections, the alliance meeting could not be held for the last two months. At the same time, Congress had announced to call a meeting on December 6, the day of the election results. Now sources are saying that CM Nitish Kumar will not attend this meeting.

However, from his party's side, JDU National President Rajeev Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh and Water Resources Minister Sanjay Kumar Jha will attend this meeting. At the same time, party supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav and his son Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Prasad Yadav will participate on behalf of Rashtriya Janata Dal.

No statement has been given by JDU regarding Nitish Kumar not attending the meeting. However, JDU leader says that the doctor has advised CM Nitish Kumar to take rest. He had viral fever. These days his health is not well. Therefore he will not attend the meeting.

When Congress lost the elections in three states on December 3, JDU's reaction came to the fore. JDU spokesperson KC Tyagi had said that these results could have been better. Do not connect it with Indie Alliance (I.N.D.I.A.). Indie alliance was nowhere in the election. Therefore, it is the victory of BJP and defeat of Congress.

As soon as the assembly elections of five states were announced, the attitude of Congress completely changed. The party did not give ticket in Madhya Pradesh even on the insistence of Akhilesh Yadav. At the same time, in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, he did not consider it necessary to take any ally along, nor did he call the leader of any alliance partner in his campaign. In such a situation, many leaders including Akhilesh Yadav openly expressed their displeasure and also indicated their exit from the India alliance.
